Follows is a description of the items and functionality provided in the PanelForge 'File' main menu bar menu:
style="width:75%"!New Project... (Ctrl Shift Alt N) | Displays the New Project dialog window. Closes the current PanelForge Project if open with option to save changes. |
Open Project... (Ctrl O) | Displays the Open Project File dialog window. Closes the current PanelForge Project if open with option to save changes. |

Open Recent | Sub menu of items for each 10 previously opened PanelForge Project. Selecting an item will open the corresponding PanelForge Project. Closes the current PanelForge Project if open with option to save changes. |
Close Project (Ctrl W) | Closes the current PanelForge Project with option to save changes and returns to the PanelForge Welcome Window. |
Save All (Ctrl S) | Save the current PanelForge Project and all modified PanelForge Panel contained in the project. |
Save All As... (Ctrl S) | Save the current PanelForge Project and all PanelForge Panel and Assets contained in the project to a new location without overwriting the original file locations. |
Save Panel | Save the current PanelForge Panel displayed in the PanelForge Workspace. |
Import -> Final Cut Pro 7 XML Sequence... | Creates a new PanelForge Project from the information in a 'Final Cut Pro 7' XML edit file selected via a File Dialog Window. File Dialog Windows will also be shown to locate any image media used by the XML edit file to generate new Panel files. Closes the current PanelForge Project if open with option to save changes. |
Import -> Final Cut Pro 7 XML Timing... | Adjusts the Panel timing data in a PanelForge Project from the information in a 'Final Cut Pro 7' XML edit file selected via a File Dialog Window. Additional setup option dialog windows will be displayed to manage the adjustments. |
Import -> Panel File(s)... | Adds external Panel files not existing in the current PanelForge Project to the current Project. A Panel selection File dialog window is displayed supporting selection of multiple Panel files. |
Import -> Project Panel Files (Merge Projects)... | Appends all the Panel files from an external Project file to the current PanelForge Project. Panel timing information is retained. Any additional Asset Libraries will be added to the current Project. A Project selection File dialog window is displayed to specify the Project to be merged into the currently open Project. |
Import -> Image File(s) As Panel(s)... | Adds Image files into the current PanelForge Project as a new Panel for each selected image. An Image selection File dialog window is displayed supporting selection of multiple Image files. |
Import -> Image File As Layer... | Add an Image file into the current PanelForge Panel Canvas as a new Layer. An Image selection File dialog window is displayed. |
Import -> Model Geometry File... | Add a Model Geometry file into the current PanelForge Panel Stage as a new Stage Geometry Object. The file is set as an absolute file reference path in the Stage Geometry Object's attributes. A Model Geometry selection File dialog window is displayed. |
Export... | Show the PanelForge Export dialog window providing many ways to convert the data stored in the current PanelForge Project and Panels to other file formats. |
Exit (Ctrl Q) | Close the PanelForge Application. Closes the current PanelForge Project if open with option to save changes. |
