System Requirements

Before attempting to install PanelForge make sure that the following minimum requirements are met by your computer.

PanelForge project scenes of high complexity may require hardware of higher specification than the minimal requirements specified.


Minimum Requirements

PanelForge 4.0 recommends the following as a minimum for a working environment:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64bit versions only)
Processor: Intel Core/Xeon Quad Core

AMD Ryzen Quad Core

Memory: 8GB
Graphics Card/Chipset: OpenGL 4.1 supported GPU with 1GB+ Memory
Display: 1600x900 pixels
Drawing Tablet: Wacom Cintiq, Intuos Pro, Intuos or Bamboo.

Microsoft Surface input. Huion Branded graphic tablets.


Minimum 'PanelForge Studio' Requirements

PanelForge 4.0 recommends the following for a production studio environment:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64bit versions only)
Processor: Intel Core/Xeon Quad Core

AMD Ryzen Quad Core

Memory: 16GB
Graphics Card/Chipset: Nvidia OpenGL 4.5 supported GPU with 4GB+ Memory
Display: 1920x1080 pixels
Drawing Tablet: Wacom Cintiq, Intuos Pro.


Unsupported Base Minimum Requirements

Although not recommended or officially supported PanelForge 4.0 may function with the following minimum system hardware.

Complex 3D 'Stage' scenes and 2D 'Canvas' with a large number of layers will not be possible:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64bit versions only)

Windows 7 (64bit) and 8.1 (64bit) may function as expected but no official support is now provided.

Processor: Intel dual Core
Memory: 4GB
Graphics Card/Chipset: OpenGL 3.3 supported GPU with 512MB+ Memory
Display: 1280x800 pixels
Drawing Tablet: Wacom Cintiq, Intuos Pro, Intuos, Graphire or Bamboo.

Microsoft Surface input & Huion Branded graphic tablets (Windows 10 & 8.1 only).


Optional Hardware

The following optional hardware is also supported:

  • Windows UI scaling with Windows 8.1 or 10.
  • Three-button mice with optional scroll wheel.
  • Track-Pad with scroll/pinch gestures.
  • Multiple monitors when using same graphics card/chipset.
